A Sagittariun
A Sagittariun is an electronic musician from Bristol, England, whose bright, starry tracks recall the best of Detroit techno and U.K. ambient house, with roots in dub rhythms and kosmische sounds. Releases such as 2016's full-length Elasticity transmit a hopeful, spiritually minded message through fluid grooves and expressive melodies. Initially an anonymous project, A Sagittariun was eventually revealed to be a moniker of Nick Harris, a veteran DJ and producer who co-founded the NRK Sound Division booking agency and label during the '90s. His third album, Return to Telepathic Heights, appeared in 2019, and he continued issuing EPs, including 2022's Strange Brew.
A Sagittariun debuted in 2011 with a series of EPs on his own Elastic Dreams label, beginning with The Circle Stops Somewhere. Several releases later, his full-length debut, Dream Ritual, arrived in 2013. Further EPs for Elastic Dreams followed, as well as releases on Hypercolour and Secretsundaze. A Sagittariun's sophomore full-length, Elasticity, appeared in April 2016. Subsequent EPs included 2017's Pseudo Science, 2018's Fahrenheit 451, and 2019's A Fistful of Bitcoins. Also that year, he issued his third album, Return to Telepathic Heights, on Running Back. No Drama and Live from the Sea of Tranquility both appeared in 2020. Mazes & Monoliths, the artist's first EP for Rekids, was released in 2021, followed in 2022 by Strange Brew.
