Les Trans Musicales de Rennes ne s'y sont pas trompées en 2017 : Nakhane est une révélation à mettre sous la lumière. Voix féline, profonde et enveloppante, charme rieur et calme descendu de l'Olympe, Nakhane fait partie des envoûteurs. Ceux qui feulent, susurrent et sont à l'aise où qu'ils aillent. Ecrivain (Piggy Boy's Blues, 2015), acteur (Les Initiés, 2018), auteur-compositeur-interprète, multiinstrumentiste, Nakhane ne cesse d'ajouter des cordes à son arc. Plus éloigné de son premier album Brave Confusion (2013) où l'influence d'Ali Farka Touré se faisait sentir jusque dans son ancien nom de scène – Nakhane Touré –, ce second album file dans la veine intimiste où électro et soul se juxtaposent. Tempos lents pour interludes sentimentaux (Violent Measures, You Will Not Die) ou fulgurances électro aux synthés chatoyants (le tubesque Clairvoyant), tachetés de relents 80's (Interloper), You Will Not Die émeut par la grâce de sa sensualité, toujours au bord de l'éclosion. © Charlotte Saintoin/Qobuz

Les Trans Musicales de Rennes ne s'y sont pas trompées en 2017 : Nakhane est une révélation à mettre sous la lumière. Voix féline, profonde et enveloppante, charme rieur et calme descendu de l'Olympe, Nakhane fait partie des envoûteurs. Ceux qui feulent, susurrent et sont à l'aise où qu'ils aillent.
