Essential est le deuxième best-of du projet de musique new age français Era fondé par le compositeur-interprète Éric Levi. Sorti en 2010, cinq ans après The Very Best of Era de structure similaire, il réunit des morceaux de tous les albums studio d’Era, notamment le projet en deux parties "Classics", dans lequel Levi revisitait diverses œuvres de compositeurs classiques tels que Verdi, Mahler et Handel dans le style new age qui lui est propre. Certains des morceaux les plus connus d’Era, tel "Ameno", sont également présents sous des versions remixées.
