The Complete Blue Note Records is a five-disc box set that contains everything Sonny Rollins recorded for the label between 1956 and 1957. Each disc has been previously released individually -- this set simply collects Sonny Rollins, Vols. 1 & 2, Newk's Time and A Night at the Village Vanguard, Vols. 1 & 2 in one slipcase, with no new remastering. For anyone intending to replace their Rollins Blue Note collection, or wishing to acquire all of this music at the same time, this set is essential, but anyone that already owns the individual discs needn't bother with this set.
