Publié en 1973 et succédant au classique instantané For Your Pleasure paru plus tôt dans l'année, Stranded, troisième album studio de la formation art rock britannique Roxy Music, constitue en outre son premier depuis le départ dans l'intervalle de Brian Eno et la voit immédiatement prendre la direction souhaitée par un Bryan Ferry (chant) libéré des velléités expérimentales du petit génie de l'électronique. S'il se veut plus proche du glam rock que de l'art rock, le groupe reste néanmoins assez subtil dans son écriture pour assurer son lot de surprises, et ce dans les moments les plus posés ("A Song for Europe") comme dans ses assauts les plus frontaux ("Street Life"). Fort de l'écriture glamour torturée de Ferry et d'une maîtrise unique des textures, Roxy Music signe avec Stranded son troisième classique d'affilée.
