Dieses Konzert im Jahr 2006 fand auf der polnischen Schiffswerft statt, wo Lech Walesa und seine Solidarnosz-Bewegung 1980 ihren ersten Auftritt hatten, und es zelebriert den Geist dieser Revolution. Es zelebriert auch den Geist der vorherigen Band von Gilmour, Pink Floyd. Die Show eröffnet damit, dass Gilmour seine Band durch ein Bündel an Klägen von Floyds klassischer Dark Side of the Moon führt, bevor er vollständig in sein jüngstes Soloalbum einführt, On an Island. Live in Gdansk endete auch als unbeabsichtigte Elegie an den Keyboarder der Floyds Richard Wright, der Gilmour hier begleitete und Tage vor der Veröffentlichung dieses Albums starb, seine letzte aufgezeichnete Performance.

Die Show eröffnet damit, dass Gilmour seine Band durch ein Bündel an Klägen von Floyds klassischer Dark Side of the Moon führt, bevor er vollständig in sein jüngstes Soloalbum einführt, On an Island. Live in Gdansk endete auch als unbeabsichtigte Elegie an den Keyboarder der Floyds Richard Wright, der Gilmour hier begleitete und Tage vor der Veröffentlichung dieses Albums starb, seine letzte aufgezeichnete Performance.
