Having built a dominant social media career over the 2000s and 2010s, English rapper KSI made his musical ambitions clear with 2020's Dissimulation. Now, just a year later, Olajide Olatunji finds himself upping the ante with his sophomore studio LP, All Over the Place. Arranged during the COVID-19 pandemic, the album demonstrates his versatility only further: he makes new strides into summery pop and gloomy R&B, alongside British staples like drill, U.K. garage, and Afro-swing. With this wide array of styles comes a significantly larger and higher-profile range of guests. Joining KSI on aggressive trap anthems are headline rappers like Future, 21 Savage, and Lil Durk, while domestic stars (Anne-Marie, Craig David, Yungblud) and frequent collaborators (S-X, Digital Farm Animals, JAY1) fortify the strength of the roster. Yet Olatunji is equally successful with his solo ventures -- summer ballad "Holiday" landed the rapper a number two spot on the U.K. charts, while "The Moment" and "Madness" offer some of his most anthemic cuts to date. It's an album that continues to expand KSI's musical credentials and proves that the scorn directed at "YouTubers-turned-musicians" is entirely outdated.
