Glen Hansard potrebbe essere uno di quegli artisti che hai sempre conosciuto... senza saperlo. Prima di iniziare la sua carriera musicale con The Frames nel 1992, partecipò un anno prima nel film di Alan Parker "The Commitments". Pochi anni dopo, The Frames divennero un fenomeno nazionale in Irlanda con i loro primi successi "Revelate" e "Fitzcarraldo" (ispirato alla storia del film di Werner Herzog). Passeranno ancora dieci anni prima che Glen Hansard diventi quel rispettato cantautore internazionale che conosciamo oggi. Nel 2007 ha recitato nel film "Once" con Marketa Irglova. La loro storia d'amore e musica ha conquistato il mondo e la canzone "Falling Slowly" ha vinto l'Oscar per la migliore canzone originale.
