Modelled on Savages, the members of Pumarosa appear to have fallen early on into the Eighties melting pot of New Wave and Post-Punk. But given that Isabel Muñoz-Newsome's band lives in the 2010s, this heritage is only one influence - albeit a major one - amongst many. From this decade, Pumarosa has retained an alloy of the sombre and lyrical that is steeped in more contemporary tones. One can hear echoes of Siouxsie, Kate Bush and Patti Smith within Muñoz-Newsome's enchanting sound.
