Tierry

Tierry is a Brazilian singer-songwriter who performs in the arrocha genre, a traditional music style from the state of Bahia. Born Tierry de Araújo Paixão da Costa on April 29, 1989, in the city of Salvador, he made a name for himself as a songwriter, penning hits for artists like Gusttavo Lima, Ivete Sangalo, and Claudia Leitte. After serving as the lead singer for the pagode baiano act Fantasmão for a few years, Tierry made his solo debut in 2015 with the album Na Farra Ou Na Sofrência, followed by a second volume in 2016. A year later, he co-wrote the Gusttavo Lima hit single "Cem Mil," earning the nickname "Tiehit." His big break came in 2019 when his song "Cracudo" made it to the Top 50 of the streaming charts in Brazil. Other streaming hits included "Rita" and "HB20," both included in his 2020 album, Acertou na Mosca. The album also included the massive hit "Hackearam-me," recorded in collaboration with singer Marília Mendonça. In 2021, Tierry recorded and released his first live DVD O Pai das Crianças, which featured the popular track "Cabeça Branca." Over the following years, the Bahia native continued to rack up millions of plays on streaming platforms thanks to well-received releases such as 2023's Rolê de Milhões and Volta, as Crianças Sentem a Sua Falta
