Crecer Germán

Crecer Germán is a singer and songwriter in the Mexican Regional genre, and is well known for his ballads and narcocorridos. Though he was born in Sinaloa, he grew up primarily in Tijuana. Fascinated with music from a young age, he began playing guitar and writing his own songs in his early teens. Using his computer and uploading videos to YouTube, he came to the attention of banda group Alta Consigna and quickly became their frontman and principle songwriter. The band uploaded most of their music to social networks. Due to their youthful good looks, sweet vocal harmonies, and unusual take on the form, they garnered millions of views. Germán left to go solo in 2015. His debut album, Si Soy Infiel, was issued in 2015 on Rancho Humilde and got him a record deal with Coco Records/Fonovisa. His follow-up video single, "Lo Que Te Amo," got over 24 million views on YouTube, setting the stage for his follow-up album. A second pre-release single, "Quién Te Entiende," spent 17 weeks on the Mexican Regional Songs chart and peaked at number seven. Its official video garnered eight million views in just four weeks. Germán released his sophomore album, Hombre Afortunado, in October of 2016.
