BROCKBEATS

Japanese beatmaker BROCKBEATS crafts lo-fi, chillhop instrumental music that blends downtempo rhythms, hip-hop beats, and jazz and soul samples. Taking cues from Nujabes, BROCKBEATS debuted in 2016 with Safari. That year, nine more albums were issued, including Monster in the Closet, Funky Fresh, Making Cream, Soy Milk, Sugar, and Salt. In 2017, BROCKBEATS scaled back with five releases, starting with Chilled Rooms and ending the year with Calm Life.
