About Playlist

1 - Crossby Stills and Nash - Helplessly Hoping something about the three vocals sits in an amazing balance with non of those wonderful singers taking the focus; this gives this song its unique feeling, like floating in harmony. 2 - M. Craft - Silver and Fire Beautiful and such an honest love song. 3 - Tom Waits - Take It With Me in my opinion- one of the best lyrics that was ever written . And the way Tom Waits knows how to carry his words, and gives them the honor and the focus- lets you almost see his written world like a movie of running pictures. 4 - Emiliana Torrini - Jungle Drum Emiliana is one of my most beloved singer-songwriters. Here she manages to take it all out from her usually super intimate world, and brings all her happiness outside , that everyone could hear and join her in this crazy jungle dance. 5 - Feist - Let It Die something about the way Feist expresses the stories she writes. The way she sings. Her vocals put you in this listening mode, that lets you dive into her world. 6 - Leonard Cohen - Halleluja I couldn’t miss this song. Leonard, at the top of poetry , knows always how to use language at its top. It has the quality of a timeless song, that could touch anybody’s heart, and find meaning in every person. 7- Bon Iver - Flume This song not only opens one of my favorite albums , it puts you in the perfect atmosphere every time you hear it. Usually with songs I love, its almost all about the lyrics. I admit most of the time I can’t really get to the bottom of Justin Vernon’s lyrics, but he knows how to give a full feeling. Flume gives me the feeling of being re born every time I hear it.Kind of like coming out of a womb and seeing the world again for the first time. I get awash with emotions, and I let this beautiful song carry me to the journey of the full album “for Emma , forever ago”. 8 - Choir of Young Believers - Hollow Talk Some songs you hear for the first time, and they just drain into you. This is one of these songs. 9 - Bob Dylan - Make You Feel My Love I'm not sure its Dylan’s best song, but definitely one of the best love songs ever written. And I had to put one of Dylan’s songs in this list… 10 - Frédéric Chopin - Prelude in E-Minor (op.28 no. 4) I just couldn’t resist adding this unbelievable Prelude to this list. It is just a pure must to every person who likes to be excited out of pure and “simple” beauty. 11 - Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water Another great classic. a true friendship song that always feels right on time to listen to. 12 - PJ Harvey feat. Thom Yorke - This Mess We’re In Perfect combination of two great singers, precise lyrics, and the music and the arrangement that puts you straight in the middle of this New York romantic crisis. 13 - Arctic Monkeys - Dancing Shoes Something I can’t really explain, this song just makes my blood run fast through my veins. I love their sound, their lyrics, and I just admire Alex Turner’s music conception. 14 - Cold War Kids - We Used to Vacation I love this band, love this album, and just love this song… a bit quirky, a bit different, not usual or straight by any meaning , and thats what I love so badly about it. 15 - Papa M - Over Jordan David Pajo’s song is a deep and emotional song, that always touches me and feels to me as a song of a soldier returned home. 16 - Billie Holiday - I'm A Fool To Want You Billie Holiday is just one of a kind expressionist . This originally Sinatra song , comes out of her mouth like boiled butter. With the sadness and the melancholy that is like part of her DNA ,you immediately feel as if she gives you a sight into her injured soul . 17- John Denver - Sunshine On My Shoulders This is one of the first songs my dad used to put when we listened to music together, and still it stayed one of my most beloved songs ever. anytime , anywhere I could listen to this song, look at the sun and get its warmth that would let me feel home and secure. 18 - Mercedes Sosa - Gracias A La Vida An everlasting song, with an everlasting singer. I love songs which manage to take you through a full time journey, and always stay current.
