Triumphant Quartet
Known for their rich vocal blend, steadfast work ethic, and deep faith, Tennessee's Triumphant Quartet are a rarity among Southern gospel vocal groups in that their membership has remained unchanged since their very first concert in 2003. In the decade-and-a-half that followed, the group transformed themselves from Smoky Mountain favorites to an acclaimed national touring act with over 20 albums and numerous awards to their credit.
Formed in Sevierville, Tennessee in 2003, the group consists of lead singer Clayton Inman and his son, baritone Scott Inman, along with tenor David Sutton and bass Eric Bennett. During their first two years together, they were known as the Integrity Quartet and operated out of the Louise Mandrell Theater in nearby Pigeon Forge, offering a classic Southern gospel sound infused with country elements. In 2005, they had changed their name to Triumphant Quartet and recorded a string of well-received albums like Treasures (2006), You Gotta Love It (2007), and Everyday (2009), the latter of which earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album. By this time the group had left their regular post in Pigeon Forge and taken their ministry on the road, touring across the U.S. and earning new fans with hit songs like "Saved by Grace" and "Love Came Calling." During their first decade together, most of Triumphant Quartet's albums were self-released, but in 2012, they signed with Mansion Entertainment, which helped expand the reach of albums like Hymns Collection (2012) and Awesome God (2014). They later switched to Stowtown Records and found further success with releases like Thankful (2017) and Yes (2019).
