The Reytons

Hailing from Rotherham in South Yorkshire, the Reytons were formed in 2017 by vocalist Jonny Yerell and bassist Lee Holland who brought in guitarist Joe O'Brien and drummer Sean O'Connor and released their first EP via Manchester's Scruff of the Neck label, It Was All So Monotonous, that same year. After replacing Sean O'Connor with new drummer Jamie Todd, the band got to work on their second EP K.O.T.E., which also arrived in 2017, with the Alcopops & Charity Shops EP following in 2018. Their chart breakthrough came three years later thanks to the May Seriously Harm You and Other Around You EP, which cracked the UK Top 40 where it landed at number 27. After whipping up a frenzy with their 2019 single "Wide Eyes and Halos," they dropped their 2021 debut album, Kids Off the Estate, which bore the name of their second EP and reached number eleven on the UK Albums Chart. In September 2022, the release of the "Avalanche" single gave fans the first glimpse of their second album, and the single was followed by "Cash in Hand & Fake IDs," "Fading," and "One." In January 2023, the Reytons dropped their second LP What's Rock and Roll?, a ferocious statement of indie-rock riffage and catchy observational lyricism.
