The second studio outing from YouTube celebrities the Piano Guys (pianist Jon Schmidt, cellist Steven Sharp Nelson, and multimedia specialists Al Van Der Beek and Tel Stewart), the appropriately titled Piano Guys 2, offers up another highly imaginative, shape-shifting set of offbeat mash-ups (Taylor Swift and Bach) and quirky renditions of pop culture staples (the Mission Impossible theme with fellow YouTube giant Lindsey Stirling, The Lord of the Rings Theme, etc. ). ~ Rovi Staff

Uncharted is the sixth studio album by YouTube sensations the Piano Guys. It features eight new songs in addition to their previously posted mash-ups "Fight Song/Amazing Grace," "The Jungle Book/Sarabande," and the Adele-Mozart track "Hello/Lacrimosa." Their version of Coldplay's "A Sky Full of Stars" had also been posted previously. Of note among the new tracks, the original song "Tour de France" by collective member Jon Schmidt skips the EDM beats and electronic additives of the title track, opting instead for solo piano, and "Okay" was provided by Hot 100 alums Dave Bassett and Andy Grammer. (Uncharted did indeed chart, marking their sixth straight number one on Billboard's New Age Albums chart.) ~ Marcy Donelson

Ambient/New Age - Released October 27, 2017 | Portrait - Sony Masterworks

Hi-Res Booklet
Following their sixth studio album, new age and classical number one Uncharted, by two years, Christmas Together is the second holiday release by the Piano Guys. Here, pianist Jon Schmidt and cellist Steven Sharp Nelson are joined by guest vocalists including Plácido Domingo, the King's Singers, and David Archuleta on a set that spans Bach, traditional carols, 20th century selections, and a collaboration with Craig Aven. Archuleta is paired with vocalist Peter Hollens and backed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on a sweeping orchestral version of "Angels from the Realms of Glory," while the more restrained "O Holy Night/Ave Maria" features a graceful Lexi Walker. An album highlight for the classical-minded -- or more precisely, Baroque -- Bach’s "O Little One Sweet" has an even sparer arrangement that leaves room for the delicate harmonies of the King's Singers, which stand out among the more expected strings- and piano-based instrumentals. ~ Marcy Donelson
