Sun's Signature
The project of Cocteau Twins singer Elizabeth Fraser and Massive Attack drummer Damon Reece, Sun's Signature debuted in 2022 with an eponymous EP that fused the duo's best attributes into a glowing, artful blend.
Partners in both creativity and life, Sun's Signature's genesis can be traced back to 2012 when, as part of her curation for the Meltdown Festival, Anohni invited Fraser and Reece to perform at Royal Festival Hall. Prior to this, Fraser's output since 1996 consisted of scattered guest appearances and a lone 2009 solo single called "Moses." The positive reception to their performance inspired the pair to continue developing material for a new project that ultimately became Sun's Signature. Released by Partisan Records in 2022, their self-titled debut EP combined radiant ethereal pop with a variety of unique elements including trip-hop, film music, and spacious chamber folk.
