ONETWOTHREE
Formed by ex-members of influential Swiss punk bands of the late '70s and early '80s, ONETWOTHREE makes minimal, wiry, yet danceable post-punk in keeping with the style of their former bands. The trio released their self-titled album on Kill Rock Stars in 2021.
ONETWOTHREE was formed in 2018 by former Kleenex/LiLiPUT member Klaudia Schifferle, ex-TNT/The Kick member Sara Schär, and ex-Noknows member Madlaina Peer. All three were bass players, and they originally formed ONETWOTHREE around the novel concept of a band comprised of just bassists. In practice, however, the band's sound included full instrumentation, and they brought a blend of funk grooves, rigid rhythms, and post-punk rawness to their self-produced, self-titled 2021 debut album.
