Ir Sais
Singer Ir Sais combines the French Antillean zouk style and Latin undercurrents with global pop for a uniquely catchy sound. His 2018 single "Dream Girl" became his biggest hit when a 2019 remix featuring urbano star Rauw Alejandro led to a viral dance challenge and over 100 million in streaming numbers. The song's popularity continued into 2020 with a "Global Remix" featuring Sean Paul and DaVido.
Ir Sais was born Irgwin Placido Sluis in 1988 and was making music by age 11. In 2009, he moved from his Caribbean Island birthplace to the Netherlands and began pursuing music full-time. He released his first songs in 2010 and issued collections of his music on his own label over the next decade, including 2015's Deeper, 2018 EP Heat, and Deeper 2.0 in 2019. His single "Dream Girl" was picked up by Sony Music in 2019 and became his biggest song up until that point, racking up millions of streams and video views and producing multiple remix versions, all of which were commercial successes. Ir Sais followed his smash hit with several new singles, including 2020's "Pandemia" and 2021's collaboration with ChocQuibTown and Afro B, "Midnight Boom."
