Chasing Abbey
Dance-pop trio Chasing Abbey aka Ronan Bell ("Ro"), Jonathan Byrne, "Be" and Ted Conway ("Teddy C") formed in Tullamore, Ireland in 2016 and dropped their first rap-infused first single, "That Good Thing," the following year. "Talk to Me" arrived in 2018 with the group's first EP, The Odyssey Project, landing in 2019. In 2021, they soared to number one on TikTok's dance charts with "Defeated" and continued to build on their dance-pop sound with singles like 2022's "Hometown" and 2023's "Lie." 2023 also saw the release of "Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses)," which went to number two on the Irish Home Grown chart and reached th Top 40 on the Official Irish Singles chart. The viral hit transformed the 18th-century folk song "Banks of the Roses" into a 21st-century club track.
