Founded in 1979, Chandos Records is named after the first Duke of Chandos. The Duke was an aristocratic patron who supported Handel, amongst others. Following its namesake’s example, Chandos has worked tirelessly for over thirty years to protect and promote the neglected masterpieces of English music.
