Hans-Eberhard Ross
Hans-Eberhard Roß is the organist, cantor, and choral director of the Evangelical Lutheran Deanery in Memmingen, Germany, and the organist of the main church of St. Martin, where he plays the Goll grand organ. He grew up in Fulda, and began studying the organ with Manfred Kroh. He pursued studies at the University of Music in Würzburg, and in 1990 received his master's degree while studying with Günther Kaunzinger. From 1987 to 1990 he served as cantor and organist in Meerbusch, then relocated to Memmingen in 1991, where he took up duties at St. Martin. He was named the director of church music in 2002, and in 2008 became the county commissioner for the parish of Swabia. He has also pursued a secular concert career, playing themed recitals and hosting creative musical events for children. His recording of the complete organ and harmonium works of César Franck on Audite is a notable accomplishment.
