Harry "Sweets" Edison, 72 at the time, sounds past his prime throughout this Pablo CD. His trumpet solos are weak and his decision to sing "Good Night" was a mistake. There are some good moments contributed by the colorful trombonist Buster Cooper, Curtis Peagler on tenor and alto, and the veteran rhythm section (pianist Art Hillery, bassist Andy Simpkins and drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath) but these well-intentioned tributes to Edison's friends (including a forgettable version of "It's a Wonderful World") are generally a misfire.
