Cian Ducrot

Pop singer/songwriter and producer Cian Ducrot intrigues with his reflective, melodic relationship songs. Following an appearance on The Voice U.K., he attracted a significant following on social media before making his full-length recording debut with the self-released started in college (mixtape) in 2020. His major-label debut, "Not Usually Like This," arrived less than a year later and was included on the EP Make Believe in 2021, which was met with millions of streams. He made his debut on the singles charts of the U.K. and his native Ireland with 2022's "All for You," which he quickly followed with another Irish Top Ten and U.K. Top 20 hit, "I'll Be Waiting." Growing up in Cork, Ducrot studied classical music, learning flute, guitar, ukulele, piano, saxophone, and drums by the time he left for college. When he was 18, he competed on the fifth season of The Voice U.K. (2016), though he was eliminated during the blind auditions. Ducrot expanded his TV fan base with a series of performances and vlogs on social media, sharing his first original songs in 2018. Having relocated to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music, he soon took a leave from school to finish his first album, a set of intimate pop songs that included his earliest releases. Titled started in college (mixtape), it saw release in July 2020. Ducrot made his major-label debut the following February with "Not Usually Like This" on Darkroom/Interscope Records. The song appeared on the Make Believe EP in December 2021. Although none of his prior releases reached the official national charts, that was rectified with April 2022's "All for You," which went to number 19 in the U.K. and as high as number two in Ireland. An alternate version of "All for You" featuring Ella Henderson appeared that August. Another single, "I'll Be Waiting," followed in November and saw Ducrot again reach the Top 20 in the U.K. (as well as in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway) and the Top Ten in Ireland. In December 2022, he delivered a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," and he kicked off 2023 with support slots on tour with Ed Sheeran.
