Travis Collins

Country music singer, songwriter, and musician Travis Collins was born in Campbeltown, New South Wales, Australia on May 4, 1985. Learning to sing and play guitar at a young age, he began his musical career at the age of 11 when he began busking (playing live for tips) on the streets of Tamworth, New South Wales. He was a competitor in the Star Maker Quest slot at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2004. Collins won first place for his performance of “Bridge That You Won’t Burn,” which he co-wrote with his father, releasing this as his debut single. His first album, Start the Car, was not a huge commercial success although it reached number 15 on the ARIA Heatseekers Albums chart with 2007 album No Boundaries peaking at number 18. It was only the release of his fourth album, Wired (2015), that saw his career really take off, reaching the number 1 spot on the Australian Country Music Albums chart and propelling him into stardom. Continuing to grow his fanbase, 2016’s Hard Light album reached number 2 on the Australian Country Music Albums chart, earning him several awards from the Country Music Awards of Australia (CMAA) and from the Country Music Channel (CMC) Awards. Still on a creative and commercial roll, Collins’ next two albums reached number 1: Brave & the Broken (2018) and Wreck Me (2020), the latter earning him Male Artist of the Year at the 2021 CMAA awards. After a two-year hiatus, Collins returned in July 2022 with the single “One of Them Nights” followed by highly anticipated album Any Less Anymore, released on June 2, 2023.
