Toto
Née en Californie en 1977 autour de Steve Lukather, des frères Steve et Jeff Porcaro, de David Paich, David Hungate et Bobby Kimball, la formation pop rock américaine Toto regroupe quelques-unes des plus fines lames de la côte ouest de sa génération. Si Toto livre un premier effort éponyme porté par le hit "Hold the Line" en 1978, succès confirmé avec Hydra l'année suivante, c'est en 1982 qu'il explose à la faveur de sa participation au Thriller de Michael Jackson et du succès rencontré par IV et le single "Africa". Si son succès décline à partir des années 90, Toto revient régulièrement, fort d'un public nombreux et fidèle, fêtant notamment ses quarante ans de carrière avec le DVD live 40 Tours Around the Sun en 2019.© TiVo Lire plus
