Queensrÿche
Née en 1981, basée à Seattle et axée autour de Geoff Tate (chant), Chris DeGarmo (guitare), Michael Wilton (guitare), Eddie Jackson (basse) et Scott Rockenfield (batterie), la formation heavy metal américaine Queensrÿche livre un premier maxi éponyme en 1983, puisant son inspiration dans les travaux d'Iron Maiden ou Judas Priest, avant d'imposer sa propre recette sur son second opus de 1986, Rage For Order, remarqué premier manifeste de heavy progressif, suivi par le classique Operation : Mindcrime de 1988. Si Empire (1990) et Promised Land (1994) confirment la donne, le groupe perd en vitesse suite au départ de DeGarmo mais trouve un nouveau souffle avec le départ de Geoff Tate au profit de Todd La Torre en 2012. Avec The Verdict, Queensrÿche livre son quinzième effort studio en 2019.
