Lady Bee

Lady Bee is the alias of Dutch DJ, vocalist, and electronic musician Bianca Latupapua. She was born on October 6, 1983, and made her mainstream debut as Lady Bee in 2006, when she appeared as a guest artist on Sidney Samson's "Girls." Before the year was up, Lady Bee had also contributed to a pair of Hardwell songs and issued her own solo debut, Plan Bee. During the years that followed, she continued balancing her solo material with an ongoing string of collaborations with Seductive, Laidback Luke, Ravage, and other DJs. 2010's "Heat It Up" marked her first solo release on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records, while subsequent singles like "Sweet Like Chocolate" and "Murder Dem" were released by Diplo's label, Mad Decent Records. Lady Bee continued to bounce between different labels as her career picked up steam, scoring a European dance hit with 2014's "Drop It Down Like" and topping the singles charts in the Netherlands with her 2015 single "Return of the Mack." Featuring a guest appearance by Rochelle, "Return of the Mack" updated Mark Morrison's 1996 R&B hit of the same name with club-friendly tempos and female vocals. During the latter half of the 2010s, Lady Bee maintained a prolific release schedule while also serving as a remix artist for Nina Sky's Champion Lover and NERVO's "Did We Forget" before remixing Aluna's hit song "Body Pump" during the early 2020s.
