Diane Arkenstone

A pioneering, multi-platinum-selling musician with a deep repertoire of recordings, Diane Arkenstone has been at the forefront of the new age scene since the mid-'90s. Her healing music touches on a wide array of genres, including Celtic, trance, meditation, folk, ambient, and Native American traditions. Highlights include 2002's Billboard-charting Jewel in the Sun, 2013's introspective folk outing Union Road, and 2022's neo-classical Between Earth and Sky, all of which were released on Neo Pacifica Recordings, the label she co-founded with frequent collaborator and ex-husband David Arkenstone. Growing up on a ranch in California, Arkenstone felt drawn to nature and music from an early age. She was diagnosed with a complete AV block in her heart and spent her formative years in considerable medical distress. Arkenstone found peace through the unique vibrations of her voice and guitar – she depended on a pacemaker until 2022 – and it inspired her to make the healing music that would become her focus as the years progressed. Trained as an opera singer, Arkenstone experimented with punk, heavy metal, and folk music until she co-formed the duo Enaid & Einalem. Between 1996 and 2000, the pair released a string of albums that combined elements of Celtic folk and new age. In the early 2000s, she married prominent new age musician David Arkenstone and formed the label Neo Pacifica. During this time, Diane released a steady stream of solo recordings while maintaining many other projects, including Enaid and Ah Nee Mah, as well as collaborations with Earth Trybe and The Marquis Ensemble. By the 2010s, Arkenstone had reached the upper echelons of the healing and new age genres, with her music garnering millions of global streams and appearing in films and television. She maintained her prolificacy in the 2020s, releasing meditative efforts like Beyond the Golden Sea (2020), Cool Waters of Life (2022), and World Calling (2023), with Aquaria II slated for release in 2024.
