En collaboration avec le multi-instrumentiste Francesco Turrisi, produit par l’excellent Joe Henry en cinq jours à Dublin, There Is No Other convoque compositions originales et reprises des anciens, sur fond de musique traditionnelle arabe, d’influence celtique et italienne. On retrouve ainsi I’m Gonna Write Me a Letter d’Ola Belle Reed, Brown Baby de l’activiste Oscar Brown Jr, ou, dans un autre genre, la Pizzica di San Vito ou l’air Black Swan de Menotti.
