La rumeur l'avait quasiment enterré. Quelle plus belle réponse qu'un nouvel album pour David Bowie. Et quel album ! A 66 ans, le Thin White Duke signe un disque très contemporain mais viscéralement bowiesque dans ses gènes. Guitaristiquement musclé, ce Next Day lorgne aussi bien vers le Bowie berlinois (la pochette revisité de Heroes) que vers Ziggy Stardust, Scary Monsters ou, plus près de nous, Heathen et Reality. Surtout, la star britannique signe d'impressionnantes nouvelles chansons portée par cette voix unique que les années n'ont guère abimée. Un comeback puissant.
