Paru en 2016, The Fall of a Rebel Angel, huitième album de la formation dance music espagnole Enigma emmenée par Michael Cretu, succède à Seven Lives Many Faces publié en 2008 et constitue un retour délibéré aux sonorités des débuts du projet, soit un downtempo luxuriant aux influences new age, et est présenté comme le voyage intérieur d'un protagoniste à la recherche d'une nouvelle vie plus riche de sens. A noter la présence sur trois de ces douze nouveaux titres de la superstar indonésienne Anggun, fan de la première heure, notamment sur le single "Sadeness, Pt.2", suite du hit international de 1990 ayant contribué à propulser Enigma vers le chiffre de 70 millions d'albums vendus à travers le monde.
