Ce nouvel enregistrement du pianiste hollandais, d'origine chinoise, Seesiang Wong propose des Concertos et des oeuvres pour clavier solo des fils de Bach. Programme passionnant, car il suit l'émergence du style concertant à l'époque charnière du baroque finissant et du classicisme naissant. Passionnant aussi de comparer la personnalité et le style des fils d'un des plus grands génies de l'histoire de la musique occidentale. Ayant chacun reçu en partage une éducation musicale semblable et rigoureuse, ils évoluent ensuite au gré de leur propre personnalité, se détachant plus au moins du joug paternel. Il y a Wilhelm Friedemann, instable et fantasque, Carl Philipp Emanuel, sûrement le plus génial, mélancolique, visionnaire, lié aux écrivains et aux philosophes de son temps, Johann Christian, mondain et voyageur, dépositaire du style galant qu'il cultive assidûment.
