Lhasa, l’inoubliable comète

En seulement trois albums studio, un live et trois tournées internationales, “Lhasa” de Sela a laissé une trace unique dans l’histoire de la musique populaire contemporaine. “La Llorona”, “The Living Road” et “Lhasa” sont des œuvres distinctes et abouties qui dévoilent un univers étrange mais familier, à mi-chemin du rêve et de la réalité. Ces chansons claires obscures sont habitées par les sentiments sincères d’une artiste dont le chant à fleur de peau propose un pacte de complicité intime avec celui qui l’écoute. Il y a dans la vie de “Lhasa” de Sela tous les ingrédients d’une légende, les étapes d’un roman, les émotions d’une histoire belle et bouleversante.

Daniel Johnston, icône troublée et troublante

Personne ne sonne comme Daniel Johnston. Artiste dépressif et méconnu devenu culte grâce à la reconnaissance de ses pairs, l’Américain, mort le 11 septembre 2019 à l’âge de 58 ans, est le symbole d’une musique naïve, lo-fi mais débordant d’émotions. Il n’est pas trop tard pour (re)découvrir cet authentique génie underground qui ne rate jamais le cœur de l’auditeur.
