Premier album du gagnant de The Voice 2, seize chansons qui lui ressemblent et dans lesquelles il mélange allégrement gospel, soul, funk... le tout dans la langue de Molière! Le jeune homme de 27 ans se démarque d’emblée de la production actuelle en chanson française, affirmant l’univers auquel il avait habitué ses fans sur le plateau de TF1. Yoann Fréget ne s’économise pas et chaque chanson se transforme en performance vocal, dans la tradition des voltiges et autres pyrotechnies vocales qu’attend la célèbre émission. On regrettera peut-être, dans ce premier disque, la faiblesse des compositions et la banalité des arrangements musicaux qui ne donnent sans doute pas toute l’ampleur que ce style vocal nécessite. Dans le lot, on distinguera néanmoins Quelques heures avec moi qui ouvre l’album, Nos Etats-Unis, Ca vient de Là-Haut et Sauras-tu m'aimer que l’on retrouvera comme musique de générique de fin du film de Christophe Gans, La Belle et la Bête avec Léa Seydoux et Vincent Cassel. Dans ce slow, a t-on pu lire dans Le Figaro.fr, Yoann Fréget jongle entre classique et vibratos soul, et embarque ses auditeurs dans des montagnes russes de vocalises à «couper le souffle». Le titre Les mots qu'on ne peut pas dire, dont le texte a été écrit pour lui par son père auteur-compositeur, évoque clairement son bégaiement. Au final, Quelques heures avec moi est un album naïf et impressionnant.
