Révélésnsur YouTube grâce à leurs nombreuses reprises, tantôt de TaylornSwift, One Direction, tantôt de Justin Bieber ou Miley Cyrus, ThenVamps se sont jetés dans le grand bain en 2013 lorsqu’ils ontnpublié leur premier simple, « CannWe Dance ».nCelui-ci, en plus de collectionner les vues sur la plateforme denpartage de vidéos (plus de 70 millions, propulsant le jeune quatuornbritannique au second rang des ventes au Royaume-Uni), anlittéralement lancé sa carrière sur le plan internationalnpuisque The Vamps s'est ensuite retrouvé en première partiend’artistes tels que Selena Gomez, The Wanted ou Taylor Swift.
Aprèsnavoir battu le fer tant qu’il était chaud avec deux premiersnalbums sortis coup sur coup en 2014 et 2015, le groupe revient avecnun troisième recueil penchant davantage du côté de l’electro-pop,nà l’image de l’efficace single « Middle of the Night »nou du rythme lancinant de la ballade « Samento You ». Ilnest grandement question de relations sentimentales, plus ou moinsnvacillantes. Une orientation totalement assuméenpour le groupe dont chacun des membres avoue avoir eu « lencœur brisé à un moment ou à un autre »,nce qui se ressent à l’écoute des paroles avec une certainensincérité, comme sur la puissante ballade pop « Stay ».nMais bien souvent hélas, les choses restent très lisibles, et sinles rythmes sont élaborés avec méticulosité, les mélodies n’ennrestent pas moins éculées, comme sur « MynPlace »,npresque touchant de naïveté.
Mais, à n’en pas douter, le publicnde The Vamps, essentiellement adolescent et féminin, s’enthousiasmera pour cette pop de bonne facture, sans prétention ànla postérité, à l’image de la plaisante mais oubliable « SadnSong », quinrecycle pour la énième fois sur son refrain les sonorités renduesnpopulaires par Major Lazer. Et la voix de Bradley Simpson, même sinelle bénéficie d’un impressionnant travail de post-production,nreste fort agréable et tout à fait capable de porter des tubesntels que « AllnNight ».
