Avec Les Clefs, Enrico Macias se met une fois de plus à nu avec des textes axés sur ses interrogations, ses regrets mais aussi ses espoirs. Avec ses textes et ses mélodies qui lui ont été offerts par Art Mengo, Da Silva, Bruno Maman, Marc Estève, Claude Morgan et Frédéric Zeitoun, cet opus a été conçu avec son fils Jean-Claude Ghrenassia comme pour Oranges amères en 2003. Des Clefs sur lesquelles on retrouve surtout l’élégance habituelle du chanteur de Constantine. Trois ans après Venez tous mes amis sur lequel il reprenait ses propres chansons en duo avec ses amis, Enrico Macias sait toujours mêler rythmes orientaux et chanson française, introspections touchantes et airs plus légers.
