À l'instar de l'essentiel de ses contemporains sur la scène musicale, le DJ et producteur house music français Valentin Brunel, alias Kungs, aura dû faire contre mauvaise fortune bon cœur, s'adaptant aux restrictions imposées par la pandémie de Covid-19 pour repenser temporairement ses modalités d'expression, s'associant à une poignée de camarades pour livrer une série de livestreams baptisée Club Azur, placée sous le signe de la légèreté et prenant à contre-pied l'orientation plus sombre envisagée par le DJ pour succéder à son remarqué Layers de 2016. Publié en 2022, c'est donc l'orientation de ces sessions que retient Club Azur, second opus du Français, proposant une collection de onze titres évoluant entre nu-disco, italo disco et tropical house avec un zeste de nostalgie new wave, décrochant la onzième place des charts à domicile avec l'aide du titre "Never Going Home", consolidant la position de Kungs sur la scène electro hexagonale.
