Si le mélange des genres est depuis le départ le fil conducteur des travaux novateurs de la violoniste américaine Lindsey Stirling, c'est sur son troisième opus de 2016, Brave Enough, que la formule semble parvenir à maturité. Faire se côtoyer la musique classique et la pop ou le rock n'a jamais rien eu ni d'aisé ni d'évident, constituant par essence un accouplement souvent perçu comme contre nature. Pourtant Stirling arrive à insuffler assez de passion et de détermination pour qu'electro-pop et violon trouvent enfin un terrain d'entente. Porté par les participations de plusieurs invités au micro et bien sûr par le violon acrobate et espiègle de la jeune artiste, Brave Enough est un objet musical non identifié qui pourra diviser ou fasciner mais impose sa propre loi avec aplomb.
