Si l’on compte les huit représentations données dans le cadre des Vieilles Canailles dans les années 2010, Johnny Hallyday aura occupé Bercy 101 fois tout au long de sa carrière ! Le présent album réédite le millésime 1992 afin de célébrer le cinquième anniversaire de la disparition du Taulier. Comme tous les concerts qu’il donna dans cette salle qui vit le jour en 1984, ce Bercy 92 est la démonstration de la prouesse technique et artistique que représentait chaque spectacle de Johnny. Ce disque rappelle surtout que derrière l’interprète légendaire, des arrangeurs tout aussi charismatiques donnaient tout pour faire d’un concert de Johnny Hallyday une fête sans égale.
En l’occurrence, c’est le bassiste et directeur musical Jannick Top, ancien membre de Magma, qui est aux commandes. Il fut présenté à Johnny par Michel Berger au moment de la conception de l’album Rock’n’roll Attitude en 1985. Après une introduction digne de la BO d’un film d’action (Intro Bercy 92), ce live déploie une setlist qui joue les équilibristes entre les tubes sortis un an auparavant (Ça ne change pas un homme, La guitare fait mal…) et les standards intemporels signés Michel Berger (Quelque chose de Tennessee, Diego libre dans sa tête, Rock’n’roll attitude), Jean-Jacques Goldman (Je te promets) et même l’inclassable Poème sur la 7ème de Philippe Labro, sur le célèbre thème de Beethoven. Quant à la passion de Johnny pour le rock le plus pur, elle est représentée par les reprises de Blue Suede Shoes, Be Bop a Lula et Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, qui terminent le concert avec panache. © Nicolas Magenham/Qobuz

Si l’on compte les huit représentations données dans le cadre des Vieilles Canailles dans les années 2010, Johnny Hallyday aura occupé Bercy 101 fois tout au long de sa carrière ! Le présent album réédite le millésime 1992 afin de célébrer le cinquième anniversaire de la disparition du Taulier. Comme tous les concerts qu’il donna dans cette salle qui vit le jour en 1984, ce Bercy 92 est la démonstration de la prouesse technique et artistique que représentait chaque spectacle de Johnny. Ce disque rappelle surtout que derrière l’interprète légendaire, des arrangeurs tout aussi charismatiques donnaient tout pour faire d’un concert de Johnny Hallyday une fête sans égale.
En l’occurrence, c’est le bassiste et directeur musical Jannick Top, ancien membre de Magma, qui est aux commandes. Il fut présenté à Johnny par Michel Berger au moment de la conception de l’album Rock’n’roll Attitude en 1985. Après une introduction digne de la BO d’un film d’action (Intro Bercy 92), ce live déploie une setlist qui joue les équilibristes entre les tubes sortis un an auparavant (Ça ne change pas un homme, La guitare fait mal…) et les standards intemporels signés Michel Berger (Quelque chose de Tennessee, Diego libre dans sa tête, Rock’n’roll attitude), Jean-Jacques Goldman (Je te promets) et même l’inclassable Poème sur la 7ème de Philippe Labro, sur le célèbre thème de Beethoven. Quant à la passion de Johnny pour le rock le plus pur, elle est représentée par les reprises de Blue Suede Shoes, Be Bop a Lula et Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, qui terminent le concert avec panache. © Nicolas Magenham/Qobuz
