Et Isobel Beardshaw opta pour Izzy Bizu, pseudo évidemment plus funky... Funky, la Londonienne de 22 ans l’est assurément. Soul aussi. Et pop évidemment. En grande fan d’Amy Winehouse (son idole ultime à qui elle a emprunté quelques intonations), elle porte ces styles à bout de voix, LE point fort et central d’A Moment Of Madness, son premier album efficace et empreint d’une sincère fraicheur. Les stars de ce cocktail pop-soul sont assez nombreuses mais Miss Bizu livre une espièglerie bien à elle, une façon de s’approprier toutes les mélodies qu’elle chante et de ne jamais les lâcher… Contrairement à son homologue d’outre-Atlantique, la soul britannique a toujours gardé un œil sur les fondamentaux du genre. Même, et surtout, lorsqu’elle sonne moderne. Les cuivres d’A Moment Of Madness ont ainsi ce petit grain rétro qui rend l’album plus chaleureux.
