CamelPhat

Mike Di Scala and Dave Whelan are CamelPhat, a British electronic duo traversing various styles of deep house and techno. A longtime club and festival staple, the pair made their mainstream breakthrough with 2017's "Cola," a vocal-driven tech-house collaboration with Elderbrook. Further chart hits followed, and the duo released their debut full-length, Dark Matter, in 2020, with guests including Jake Bugg and Noel Gallagher. A second collaboration-heavy set, Spiritual Milk, arrived in 2023. Formed in 2004, the pair put out a number of digital EPs and singles on Vice and Nervous Records before making appearances on mainstream EDM labels like Spinnin' Records and Ultra Records around 2014. Enjoying chart success in Belgium with tracks such as "Constellations," "Paradigm," "Make 'Em Dance," and "The Act," they came to widespread prominence in 2017 with the Grammy-nominated "Cola," a collaborative track produced with fellow electronic musician Elderbrook. More high-profile collaborations followed, including tracks with Jake Bugg, Jem Cooke, and Yannis from Foals, while the duo also became regulars of the festival circuit, with dates at Glastonbury, Coachella, Creamfields, and Parklife. At the end of 2020, CamelPhat released their long-awaited debut album, Dark Matter, which collected a number of previously released tracks alongside a slew of fresh material and saw them teaming up with the likes of Skream and Noel Gallagher. The album reached number 23 on the U.K. charts. CamelPhat remained busy, releasing singles with artists such as Green Velvet ("Critical") and Yousef ("April," "One Summer") in 2021. "Believe" with Mathame appeared in 2022, and "Your Mind" with Josh Gigante was issued in 2023. Further songs with Max Milner and London Grammar previewed CamelPhat's second album, Spiritual Milk, which featured additional guests such as SOHN, Kölsch, Julia Church, and Desire.
