Aimi

Born Aimi Terakawa on December 25, 1991, in Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, the anime voice actress and J-pop singer known mononymously as Aimi kicked off her career in 2011 after winning an audition to become part of the Tantei Opera Milky Holmes media franchise. Her voice acting career began shortly after; she joined the franchise as the character Kazumi Tokiwa and later as a member of the music group Feathers along with fellow voice actress Ayasa Itō. Her first solo single arrived that same year, "Tenshi no Clover" (天使のCLOVER), and its title song was used as the opening theme to anime series Astarotte no Omocha!, which kickstarted a trend; her next four singles were also featured in various anime series including Ben-To and Fairy Tale. Released on Japan's reputable Pony Canyon, her first solo album, Love, arrived in 2013, and in 2015 she joined the all-female band Poppin'Party, with whom she has issued 17 singles and two albums to date. A new solo single, "ReSTARTING!!" dropped in April 2021 on King Records, while the follow-up, "Kazanear," arrived that July.
