Inspired by the sudden death of her father, Narrow is the understandably somber second album from experimental Austrian chanteuse Anja Plaschg, aka Soap & Skin. The follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2009 full-length debut, Lovetune for Vacuum, features eight melancholic ballads showcasing her intimate, intense tones including the cathartic German-sung opener "Vater," the single, "Boat Turns Towards the Port," and a bleak cover version of Desireless' 80s synth pop hit "Voyage Voyage."
