Sandwiched between volumes from two relatively young bucks -- Visionquest on 61 and Levon Vincent on 63 -- Fabric 62 serves to anchor the long-running mix series with something classic, a sweat-inducing house set from veteran DJ Sneak. Still, it's only the vibe that's vintage as these tracks are from Sneak's current bag, with dates running from 2010 to 2012 and labels that discerning house fans crave, as Maracuja, Magnetic, Pura, and (clutch the pearls!) Strictly Rhythm are all represented in the mix. Interesting how Sneak starts off with the hardest-hitting beats and lets the more luscious, jazzy, and warm stuff dominate the end, but after you encounter the hallucinatory house of DJ W!ld's "Take a Trip," it all makes perfect sense. Looking for a late-night, transitionary, and tasteful mix that comes with just a touch of smirk? Sneak has got you covered.
