Album Description

One word describes Travis Tritt and his music: consistent. Since his first release in 1989, Tritt has been adding bluesy Southern rock to his country honky tonk roots, creating a sound all his own. Having written or co-written seven of the album's 11 tracks, Tritt says Down the Road I Go does have a purpose: "I want to continue to connect with my female audience, but I want to include songs that come from a more male perspective. If country is going to have a resurgence, we are going to have to get the men listening again." Male and female fans alike will enjoy this solid effort from a man who hasn't lost his touch even after eight dependable albums.

Norah Jones in 10 Songs

Even though her albums are released on jazz label Blue Note, Norah Jones’s music has never simply been jazz, just as it has never solely been pop, nor folk, country or soul… Since the early noughties, the American singer and pianist has embraced many styles, often breaking norms in pursuit of her own unique sound, a sound she loves to share through collaborations with different musicians of diverse origin and style. Discover the world of Norah Jones in 10 songs.

Outlaw Country: Nashville Uprising

In the early 1970’s, a group of musicians from Nashville radically challenged the city’s musical tradition, its codes, its smooth productions and its clichés. With Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and a few other long-haired rebels who were deeply influenced by rock and roll, this new trend defied country music’s conservatism.

10 Legends of the Blues

For over a century, blues is still nourishing pop music of all kinds and producing great records. It's time to take a look back at the classics with ten historic blues musicians.
