Whispering Sons

An uncompromising Belgian post-punk band, Whispering Sons emerged in the early 2010s with a dark and immersive take on the genre. The group drew regional acclaim for their 2015 debut EP, Endless Party, which evoked the nervy sonic emissions of post-punk innovators like the Birthday Party and Suicide, and continued to refine their jagged, yet atmospheric sound on full-length efforts like Image (2018) and Several Others (2021). The Brussels five-piece convened in 2010 and released their first EP, Endless Party, five years later. Combining industrial, avant-punk, and no wave, the group's experimental style, and frenetic performances helped to solidify their reputation as one of the region's most explosive live acts. In 2018, they issued their first full-length effort, Image, which paired the widescreen cinematics of late-period Cure with the fraught tension of AFI. Looking to harness the intense energy of their stage shows, they returned three years later with their unrelenting sophomore long-player, Several Others.
