Sad Night Dynamite

London-based alt-R&B duo Sad Night Dynamite have a unique approach featuring psychedelic melodies, off-kilter beats, and a mix of rap and spoken word vocals. They have released an eponymous mixtape and two EPs, including 2022's Volume II. Childhood friends Archie Blagden and Josh Greacen grew up in the countryside, a stone's throw from the Glastonbury festival site. They went off to study at different universities, but this did not stop them from sending various beats and melodies to each other online, which they would then add vocals to, eventually amassing enough material to form Sad Night Dynamite. They rejoined in the late 2010s, moving in together in East London. The duo's debut EP, SND 001, arrived in 2020 and earned them recognition almost instantly, attracting the attention of Parlophone, which released their self-titled debut mixtape in 2021. Their next outing was the 2022 EP, Volume II, with guest spots from IDK and Moonchild Sanelly.
