Aitch

Aitch is the stage name of Harrison Armstrong, who is noted for his distinctive rapping in a Mancunian accent. Born on December 9, 1999 in Manchester, UK he released his first track "Straight Rhymez" in 2018 and drew attention from the likes of Stormzy. His next single, "Trust Me," featured more of his dark humor. At the age of 19, he enjoyed more success in 2019, releasing the singles "Taste (Make It Shake)" and featuring on "Strike a Pose" with Young T and Bugsey, and "Kilos" with Bugzy Malone. He is an avid Manchester United fan and was featured in the promotional video to launch the club's 2019 kit. That same year, he dipped his toes into pop for the official remix of Ed Sheeran's "Take Me Back to London," as well as unleashing the Aitch20 EP, which shot to Number 3 in the UK and spawned two Top 10 UK singles in the profile-boosting "Taste (Make It Shake)" and "Buss Down" featuring ZieZie. A string of singles landed in 2020, including "Mice," "Raw" – which also peaked at Number 3 on the UK Singles Chart – and AJ Tracey collaboration "Rain." He also teamed up with D-Block Europe and others. 2020 was a significant year for the UK rapper who scored his second Top 10 EP in Polaris. 2021 marked the release of Top 40 UK single "Learning Curve" and "GSD," which reached Number 52 in the UK. In 2022, he was featured on ArrDee's Top 10 single "War" and shot to the top of the charts with his Ashanti-featuring hit single "Baby." His debut full-length, Close to Home, dropped in 2022, largely produced by his long-time cohort Whyjay and featuring "Baby" and a nod to his city's Madchester music legacy on the Stone Roses-sampling “1989," among other tracks.
