จินตหรา พูนลาภ

Tongbai Janlueang (born on March 6, 1969 in Kaset Wisai district, Roi Et province, Thailand) (known as Jintara Poonlarp) is a is a Thai mor lam, luk thung and pop music singer. Drawn to a musical career in her early-teen years, Poonlarp was persuaded to enter a singing contest, and was discovered by Thai radio host Hia Ying Chai Sibualert who was drawn to her unique country style. Known by the epithet “sao siang pin” ("lute-voiced girl"), Poonlarp signed to Thai music label GMM Grammy, releasing her debut album Took lauk auk rong rian at 16, selling over 800,000 copies. Recording a further nineteen albums from 1987 to 1993 with GMM, she followed this with another five albums under the Master Tape label, where she remained the number one artist for many years. In 2001, Poonlarp made her debut as an actress, starring in historical television series called Nai Hoy Tamin. After postponing her tertiary studies, Poonlarp received an honorary Arts degree from Roi Et Rajabhat University in 2004, co-starring in popular action film Chai Lai (Dangerous Flowers) shortly after. In 2007, Poonlarp released smash hit single “Tao Ngoi” which peaked at number 1 on the Thai music charts, surpassing over 120 million views online. Releasing over 50 albums throughout her career, she is best known for hit songs “Sǎo Isǎan plát tìn” ,"Ma Tammai" and "Faen Ja,", releasing a string of successful singles in 2022 including “Mia nay oowâat”, “Hug Phae Pang” and “Kayang Taeng Jai” as well as “Cĕb b̀ mīs̄eīyng”, which spent over 29 weeks on the Thai Top 40 Top Chart.
